Managing Your Fish Inventory

The Fish Inventory helps you track every koi in your collection with detailed records.

What to record for each fish:

Name: Give each fish a name for easy identification

Variety: Kohaku, Sanke, Showa, Ogon, Shusui, Asagi, and more

Size: Length in inches (measure annually to track growth)

Gender: Male, Female, or Unknown

Health Status: Healthy, Quarantine, Sick, or Deceased

Purchase Info: Date, price, and breeder for provenance tracking

Why track your fish:

Monitor growth over time

Maintain breeding records

Document health history for vet visits

Track investment value

Identify patterns (certain breeders, varieties, or sizes may have different health outcomes)

Quarantine tracking:

Fish with "Quarantine" status should be in your quarantine tank. Update their status when they clear quarantine and move to the main pond.
