Managing Your Fish Inventory

The Fish Inventory helps you track every koi in your collection with detailed records.

What to record for each fish:

  • Name: Give each fish a name for easy identification
  • Variety: Kohaku, Sanke, Showa, Ogon, Shusui, Asagi, and more
  • Size: Length in inches (measure annually to track growth)
  • Gender: Male, Female, or Unknown
  • Health Status: Healthy, Quarantine, Sick, or Deceased
  • Purchase Info: Date, price, and breeder for provenance tracking

  • Why track your fish:

  • Monitor growth over time
  • Maintain breeding records
  • Document health history for vet visits
  • Track investment value
  • Identify patterns (certain breeders, varieties, or sizes may have different health outcomes)

  • Quarantine tracking:

Fish with "Quarantine" status should be in your quarantine tank. Update their status when they clear quarantine and move to the main pond.
