AI Water Analysis Guide

The AI Water Analysis tool provides intelligent interpretation of your water test results.

How to use it:

  • Go to Dashboard > Water Analysis in the sidebar
  • Select a pond — latest parameters will auto-populate
  • Adjust values if doing a new test
  • Click "Analyze Water Quality"

  • What the analysis includes:

  • Overall water quality status (excellent to critical)
  • Risk level assessment
  • Issue-by-issue breakdown with specific concerns
  • Actionable recommendations prioritized by importance
  • Seasonal context (winter parameters differ from summer)

  • Safe ranges for koi ponds:

  • pH: 6.8-8.0 (ideal 7.0-7.4)
  • Ammonia: 0 ppm (any detectable level is a concern)
  • Nitrite: 0 ppm (any detectable level is harmful)
  • Nitrate: under 20 ppm (some tolerate up to 40)
  • KH: 4-8 dKH (buffer capacity)
  • GH: 4-12 dGH (mineral content)
  • Temperature: varies by season (39-86 degrees F)

  • Winter water notes:

Low temperatures (40-55 degrees F) are normal in winter. Koi metabolism slows, so ammonia and nitrite may be lower. Continue testing weekly even when not feeding.
